Upcoming Group Opportunities!

We are committed to providing high quality services that meet the unique needs of all children with specific learning difficulties. We understand the unique challenges presented for both parents and students who struggle due to this different neural wiring of the brain. We recognize that we should shy away from the DIS in disabilities and rather focus on all of the incredible ABILITIES of these students. However - we also recognize that in order to succeed in the traditional educational setting - these amazing students may need some additional support.


Early Literacy

Coming in Summer 2017 - This group is designed for incoming Kindergarteners or repeat Kindergarteners (ages four and five). The goal is to target foundational reading skills including phonological awareness and letter-sound knowledge. These groups will also target language abilities including sequencing, comparative concepts, visualizing, and vocabulary development.

This group is ideal for students that need a little "boost" prior to the next academic year. It will be a fun and engaging group co-led by two educational therapists.

Summer Book Clubs - Coming Summer 2017

We are hosting book clubs in the Southeast Aurora area. The book clubs will be geared at incoming 2nd and 3rd graders (Henry & Mudge) and at incoming 4th and 5th graders (book to be determined). These groups will focus on reading fluency and comprehension skills. They are a great way to apply the skills you have been learning throughout the academic year with one of our amazing educational therapists. Sign up now as we have limited space available!

Executive Functioning Group

Coming Summer 2017! - This group is designed to support executive functioning skills including planning, organization, time management, metacognition, goal setting, sustained attention, working memory, perseverance, and more of the critical skills necessary to be successful both academically and in your child's future.

This group is ideal for students who are capable, yet seem to struggle to keep track of everything that needs to be done.
