-ck Layer Bundle

Hi All! Happy Friday! Earlier this week we were talking about how to teach -ck using the acronym SMARTER. If you missed that blog, you can find it here: A Look Into Teaching -ck.

Today I’m super excited to share with you our -ck Layer Bundle. This includes a lot of the resources I use to teach my students the -ck phonogram using the acronym SMARTER to guide my session.

Right away on page 2, you are able to explicitly teach your student the rule and incorporate the multi-sensory aspect by having your student write and say “c, k, /ck/” on the line three times.

This free resource also comes with an instructor manual, and additional activities that you can pull in based on which skills you need to target with your student. These activities include word lists, additional activities for the -ck rule, -ck application sheets, leveled passages, writing practice, and even morphology! There is so much content here that I could use this for 2 lessons if I wanted to!

So sit back and relax, because we’ve got this lesson all prepped out for you! You can download this -ck layer bundle here. Don’t wait, because all of this done-for-you content will be gone in 1 week. Try it out with your students and let us know what you think!
